Antimicrobial peptides in the composition
Peptivet® 4 contains two antimicrobial peptides, AMP2041 and ARTA0002, included both in free form and encapsulated in a complex with cyclodextrins. Their presence in both forms serves to combine an immediate action (free peptides) with a gradual release over time (encapsulated peptides), alongside chlorhexidine digluconate, a broad-spectrum antiseptic.

How to use Peptivet® 4
- Shake before use.

- Gently massage the base of the outer ear canal, to allow adequate distribution of the product inside and to promote its action.
- Regular use of the product helps to extend the interval between potential recurrences.
Recurrences and the role of bacterial biofilm
A frequent reason for recurrences in chronic otitis is the formation of bacterial biofilm – a protective matrix produced by bacteria, which can increase their resistance to conventional topical treatments and favours the persistence of infection in the ear canal. For this reason, products intended for continuous or periodic use, such as Peptivet® 4, are aimed both at managing the active episode and at reducing the frequency of recurrences.
